With the help of Prosound and PR Lighting, the ‘Woord en Lewe Church’ Worship Team created an unforgettable experience for their live DVD/CD recording.
Prosound had previously installed the lighting system for ‘Woord en Lewe’ in 2004 and again in 2010 when the system was upgraded, as well as the church audio system in 2005, so when lighting was required for the live recording, Prosound was again called on for assistance.
“We’ve built a good relationship over the past few years and they have excellent service; always willing to help and go the extra mile and very professional,” says Andrew Graham, ‘Woord en Lewe’ Worship Leader.
Prosound, under the auspices of Lighting GM Ian Blair, designed and supplied a complete lightshow using the new PR Lighting XLED 1037s, XLED 336, and XR200 beams which they knew would add the required impact. Kupo LED ZPL fixtures added flash to the live event, which welcomed visitors from record companies and other churches in the region.
Control of the media servers was via an ETC Ion console and an ETC Congo Kid Console, which controlled all lighting effects.
Following the star performance of the ZPL fixtures, ‘Woord en Lewe’ have decided to purchase the lights.
“We chose the ZPL’s for their powerful effect and the feel that they bring to the stage,” says Andrew. “Excellent quality for a good price. The lighting was very impressive and far beyond my expectation. This event would not have been the same without the lights. It was an awesome experience for me and the whole team, I can honestly describe this as one of, if not THE highlight of my life!”
‘Woord en Lewe’ is currently finalising distribution details with the hope that the album and DVD will become available in SA music stores and major online outlets.
For Prosound, this spectacular show was an excellent start to their new role as PR lighting distributors.
